Our lightweight fixtures combine carbon tubes with 3D-printed PA-glassfibre connectors, allowing complex shapes. They weigh 50-70% less than steel or aluminium equivalents, so operators handle them manually all shift without strain. That cuts ergonomic risk, speeds up changeovers and shortens cycle times, while carbon’s stiffness and low thermal expansion keep tolerances stable – all engineered around your process.
Our carbon fixtures are precision-engineered solutions developed for demanding repetitive assembly processes in the automotive and manufacturing industries. By combining carbon-fiber structural elements with precision-machined and / or 3D printed components, we create fixtures that provide an excellent balance of rigidity, low weight, dimensional stability, and ease of handling.
Compared with conventional all-metal constructions, carbon fiber enables significant weight reduction while maintaining the structural stiffness required for accurate and repeatable inspection. This makes our carbon fixtures particularly suitable for applications where the fixture needs to be transported, repositioned, loaded into measuring equipment, or handled frequently by operators.
Each fixture is designed and manufactured according to the customer’s component, inspection concept, tolerances, and measurement requirements. Locating points, supports, clamps, reference elements, and checking features are positioned to provide reliable part location and repeatable measurement results. The combination of carbon-fiber tubes and precisely manufactured interfaces allows us to create structures that are both lightweight and highly rigid, including large or geometrically complex fixtures.
Particular attention is given to accessibility and ergonomics. The open carbon structure provides good access to the inspected component and its measurement points while minimizing unnecessary fixture mass and obstruction. This makes the solution suitable for manual inspection as well as integration with CMMs, optical measurement systems, scanning equipment, and other dimensional-control processes.
Our capabilities extend beyond the production fixture itself. For our carbon fixtures, we can also design and manufacture the corresponding calibration fixture. The calibration fixture provides a controlled reference for verifying and calibrating the inspection fixture, supporting measurement confidence, repeatability, and long-term quality assurance.
From initial concept and engineering through manufacturing, assembly, calibration, and final validation, we provide a complete fixture solution tailored to the customer’s production and quality requirements.
Key advantages of our carbon fixtures include:
The result is a lightweight, precise, stable, and application-specific inspection solution engineered to support reliable dimensional control throughout the manufacturing and quality-assurance process.
