Reverse Engineering of Pump Housing by Creoform Scanner
Pump and pump housings are prone to defects and wear over time. However, in many cases, the original CAD data can not be retrieved and implementing a new pump often is more complex as the complete installation must be changed. Reverse engineering these components allows you to use the same pump and have your machine or device in a digital way stored for future interventions.
FiXar can come measure in-house or on-site your components and provide an STL file with report. Usually this format sufisizes for manufacturers to start your production. If requested, we can even go further and optimize the design to a 3D file with a corresponding 2D drawing in case tolerences and certain features require detailed revision.
Pump components and pump housings are often subject to wear, damage and performance degradation over time. In many situations, however, the original CAD files or technical documentation are no longer available, making replacement or refurbishment significantly more challenging. Installing a completely new pump system is often not the ideal solution, as it may require extensive modifications to the surrounding machine, piping, mounting interfaces or overall installation.

FiXar can perform precise 3D measurements both in-house and directly on-site, depending on the size and accessibility of the component. Using advanced scanning and measurement technologies, the existing part is converted into a high-accuracy digital model. As standard output, FiXar provides an STL file together with a detailed measurement report, which is often sufficient for manufacturers to immediately start production of replacement components.
When required, FiXar can further develop the scanned geometry into a fully optimized 3D CAD model combined with detailed 2D technical drawings. During this process, additional engineering attention can be given to tolerances, critical interfaces, manufacturability and functional improvements. This is particularly valuable for complex pump housings or components where precise fitting surfaces and technical specifications require in-depth engineering validation.
